Passenger Trains > No SSL on 6(29)

Saw #6 through Sacramento this morning. Appears there is no Superliner Lounge in today's consist -- replaced with a second dining car.

Yikes! That sucks! CA Zephyr is probably the LONGEST scenic train ride (end to end) and to now have a Sightseer Lounge Car makes for a rather uneventful journey when trying to view the spectacular scenery.

Was on the Coast Starlight recently and it was sent out of LA (on-time) with a Sightseer Lounge that had not only A/C problems but also refrigeration problems in the lower level café. The attendant was doing his best, but it was rough. They were supposed to try and fix the car in Oakland, but that is often a broken promise.....Thankfully the Pacific Parlor Car was functioning normally - and in the consist!
