This may explain why despite good ridership they ran out of money for their New Mexico effort: it was being diverted elsewhere. As of a couple of days ago, their two cars are still on Track 4 at the Santa Fe station.

This is sarcasm, right? "We have reached out to local and statewide support
for this project" means a cellphone call to the office of His Corruptness
Harry Reid who has supported these leeches all along.

X-Train would be running from Los Angeles on Metrolink, Union Pacific, BNSF
and Union Pacific again. Have they contacted them?

Bidhitter? How about it? Have they?

I must admit that some quotes for XTRN are a bit higher. Like two thousandths
of a dollar. That's two tenths of a penny...

I wonder which will get built first: X Train or California HSR? HA! This person at X Train must really be buying top quality drugs.

Shovels have been used for the CA HSR project already.

Gosh darn it! They've used up my earlier investment money already? Ok, stand by...
I'll get back onto e-trade.

I guess Michael Barron hasn't figured out that the capacity issues affecting Cajon Pass extend east to Barstow and Daggett, and are actually worse on the east end?

Looking forward to adding the new mileage! I just called my broker to invest to help insure this will happen.

Will this service also go to the Islands of Hawaii too? I'm sure there is a Rail Czar that can make that happen.

Yes, both. Comes with the territory when discussing passenger rail which, unfortunately, has become heavily politicized.

Based upon tonight's closing price of the common stock ( 00.0024/share) you can buy all the shares outstanding ( and thus own 100% of the company) for about $ 92,000.00

Any takers ??

Gee, I hope they use steam for power. That ought to increase ridership. Maybe they can acquire a few heavyweights and get a real retro operation going. With any luck, they will have a multi-billion dollar operation running! :)

Let's just say that there's A LOT that Michael Barron hasn't figured out!

And they still said X cars on regular schedule trains! That is a timetable I have not seen.

25 years ago, when some California Amtrak folks asked my opinion of LA-Las Vegas, I suggested that
they look at going via Mojave compared to direct.

Maybe they should build a 4th track Barstow-Daggett.

Ed Ellis might have a few heavyweights available for lease.. not so sure about the steam engine, however.

I vote for a new line diagonally across the Antelope Valley, skirting EAFB's southern edge, and a fourth track to Daggett. High speed steam locos would get me to ride...

This person at X Train must really be buying top quality drugs.

I'd bet on AAF and Texas Central RR to complete before either of these!
As the TO post just before this reports, there is actually investor interest in AAF.

And yet, I find it hard to believe such a project would not be a viable
one. Maybe UP should get back into the passenger business - high end
side, like CP has done. Is CP making much money? 'Course, for CP it
is the scenery, but I would imagine for many, scenery can be on par
with all out luxury especially when the end points are LA and LV.
