Date: 01/27/15 11:05 Re: Lucky Seven Shoots North Author: jcaestecker Nice. But even more stunning was the sunset glow that followed. We were waiting for 777 in the Silver Splendor on the rear of train 11 about 10 miles or so north of there. Soon after the sun sank into the Pacific, the water turned aqua and the clouds a fiery orange/red. Our guests clambered up to the dome and out into the vestibule to see the most spectacular sunset view I have ever seen. I have asked the trip host to see if anyone will be kind enough to email some pics. I'll post what we receive.
-John Date: 01/27/15 11:31 Re: Lucky Seven Shoots North Author: walstib It was indeed a spectacular sunset, John. Here's an iPhone shot of the sunset from Arroyo Hondo just after you guys went past on 11.
I was down on the hill below the trestle, but I saw that the vestibule on the Silver Splendor was crowded with people taking pictures. Date: 01/27/15 12:13 Re: Lucky Seven Shoots North Author: goduckies Wow what a sunset!
