Toga Pass — Up And Back
Author: walstib

The Tioga Pass made a whirlwind trip from LA to Oakland and back this week.

First shot is on train 14 at Santa Barbara yesterday. Second shot is coming back today at Seacliff.

I see this week the car is running with traditional markers instead of the new-fangled model, shot 3, it was running a week ago.

A surfer prepares to head into the water today as train 11 stretches out on the tracks above the Pacific Coast Highway.

Norm looks awful lonely out on that platform all by himself.  Where is the thundering herd that usually accompanies him on these trips?  Even on a deadhead, I'm surprised Norm didn't fanagle a few one-way fares :)

They were inside.

When the train went north through Seacliff there were three people on the platform, but by Santa Barbara they had gone inside.

I like the matching blue folding chairs on the platform.

Those small marker lanterns just don't look right.
