With the padding in NY, it was only about 25 minutes late arriving in WAS, but was over 6 hours late arriving in New Haven. Amtrak put together a close to ontime #65 makeup train that went 1hour and 45 minutes from New York and ran all the way to Newport News and the inbound almost 7 hour late original #65 was taken to Sunnyside and turned out as train #159.
