Passenger Trains > Reroutes for 21/22 today

The Texas Eagle is detouring today in Illinois due to work on the regular Chicago/St. Louis line. Amtrak reroutes over the old C&EI then MoPac route from St. Louis to Chicago. The pictures are from CP 131 south of Chicago on the line. Northbound at 12:50 and Southbound at 6:05.  This is the line that has seen some detours over the past years as the regular line is upgraded for high speed trains. I like this spot because it is a little raised and gives a nice perspective.
