Eight cars on the Eagle

There are 8 cars on the Eagle.  Is this due to increased ridership during the summer months?  Normally there are 7 cars.

I believe it may have to do with the addition of the baggage car which as I recall was discussed here some time ago. Previously, I don't believe there was a baggage car between SA and Chicago.  The passenger carrying capacity thus remains the same.
