There will always be something special about rolling through John Steinbeck country at 79 MPH. Back in history near San Ardo there was an agreement with the Southern Pacific that they could lay track on a one persons land if the train stopped there so for many years in Pre Daylight GS- 4 days, a train would call at San Ardo where there is one of many of the Missions Father J. Serra established in the late 1700's.
