Trying to remember,I think there were several in 1979.The National Ltd,The North Coast Hiawatha,The Interamerican and the Floridian as examples.
I need to know the last run of the Floridian if possible.

Wikipedia says last run of the Floridian was Oct. 9, 1979.

The trains included the Lone Star, but not the Interamerican, which survives today as the Texas Eagle.

The Floridian was terminated on October 1, 1979, but a court order or something like that kept it running a few more days.

Not entirely exact.  The Interamerican ran to Laredo.

Pretty sure it kept doing so until the 1981 cutbacks.  Also had a Temple - Houston section until 1981.

The Champion was another train cut in 1979, leaving two New York - Florida trains, both of which had east and west coast sections.  The Hilltopper (NY - Cattletsburg, KY) also came off with the 1979 cuts.  On the plus side the Desert Wind was added between Ogden, UT and LA.
