I think, but am not 100% certain, that I rode in this car on the Rio Grande Zephyr before D&RGW pulled it in 1983. 6 cars from the old RGZ were attached to the rear of #6 at Denver one evening and hauled east to be distributed and used elsewhere on differing routes for awhile at least.

I believe it was a positioning move back to Los Angeles. The guests were aboard for Thanksgiving.

phil silver lariat was a q car, but i was there to see the silver banquet make it's last trip and brothers leaving denver, sad day indeed ,especially for the banquet

When I'm riding in the dome, I sure don't care for the lights  to be on when it's dark out!
