12% drop.  website below just worked

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/sunrail/os-sunrail-ridership-down-20160204-story.html just worked.

Getting the north and south extensions done would also help.

Many SunRail trains are just two cars.

I heard 3,300 riders per day, down about 1,000 from ridership budget and projections.

Web page shows 36 trains each weekday, no service on weekends or holidays.

Besides the two things mentioned such as not yet completed north and south extensions along with no service on weekends and holidays, I believe it takes people a little while to adapt to commuter trains where none ever existed.  I also believe that word of mouth plays a large roll especially after people get stuck in traffic jams on the highways and miss appointments.

One of the disappointing aspects seems to be a failure of many hospital workers to take the train. They were expected to be a big % of the ridership.

I don't know the schedules of the trains but many hospital workers I know,  not the pencil pushers, work varying shifts, varing days, often 12 hours.
Not sure their hours match  with schedules.
With changes in the industry can be pretty grueling, not sure you want to get out of work after 12 hours on the floor, trundle over to train station, wait for train to depart, get to
a station and then drive home. Often they do not arrive or depart during rush hours so traffic is not an issue and parking is often provided proximate to work.
