Where's Bidhitter? X-Train stock is UP!
Author: GenePoon

Current stock price of Las Vegas Railway Express (X-Train):

XTRN closed yesterday at $0.39, at which price somebody
traded over 300 shares. This is 650% up from where
it bottomed out (06MAR2016 to 07MAR2016) at 0.06;
it had been at 0.07 for about a year, but it is now down from 0.40
on 08MAR2016, when somebody traded 6509 shares.

Doesn't make it a BUY, though!!!! :-)

must be confusing it with the high-speed spread.

Wonder what their cost basis was?

I think this is known as the "dead cat bounce" - as in even a dead cat will bounce up a little as its lifeless body hits the ground.

OOPS !!!  Back down to 6 cents. At this price you can buy all the outstanding shares for about $ 45,000.00 and you'll own the company 100%. Then, when the UP/Amtrak agree to the operation of the Vegas-LA train you'll be rich????

   You never know !!

Maybe some short sellers were getting out of the way of good news?

The joke is on me! I read the initial post wrong. UP did not buy all the stock.

There was a news story this week that reported a couple of Nevada politians introduced a bill that would permit transfer of National Park Service land for her right of way.  Must be Mojave Preserve.

LIke I said, the people buying the stock must have thought that they were buying into the other company.

Anyone know what was the only railroad stock that went up the day that Lindbergh landed in Paris?

Might be wrong but it is a good story.

Seaboard Air Line, of course.

The SEC filing will cost more than that.  But if someone bought it, think of the paint schemes that might be used on the train.

Hope you were trying to be funny. Looks more like the cat died then turned into a zombie. Usually, the so-called "dead cat bounce" happens within days or even weeks of a price drop, not 5 months of very little fluctuation in the price.

Nothing to see here.

I love this paragraph from the article:

The first route being developed is the Los Angeles to Las Vegas corridor which is expected to open mid year -- fall 2016. The X Train carries 800 passengers and our staff enrolls them into our Club X rewards program. Club X rated members are directed to certain casinos which the company has referral arrangements with
