Time to figure out how best to kill this one before PANYNJ manages to spend the usual double the original estimate on building half the thing promised. ;)

More like quadruple the original estimate, plus a $1 Billion 10th Avenue #7 station, which is ironically required for it to be useful to anyone as they boast of "one seat ride". Half the PABT is just 30 years old, but they won't tell you that.

Logic dictates that bus/rail hub should be same location.

Then make it Secaucus and send the #7out there for $11 Billion.

The recent revelations about the proposed routing of the Queens street car route make it abundantly clear about which developers have access to NYC City Hall transit planning.  Let those developers buy some land around Secaucus, and the #7 would be on its way tomorrow.

(There's some truth to that in most regimes.  Bloomberg pushed the #7 extension to Hudson Yards in part by getting the developers who would most benefit to agree to a special transportation tax for the nearby blocks which would connect with the station. The scope of the work got the unions on board.  The construction trades, the real estate developers, Mike and Governor Cuomo worked effectively when their interests were in alignment.)
