Question Regarding Texas Eagle Detour South of St. Louis

To All in the Know:

I have noticed that the Texas Eagle, upon departure from St. Louis, is using the Chester Subdivision instead of the DeSoto Subdivision. Does anyone know how long this will be taking place and the reason why the detour is in effect?  Thanks ahead of time to all who respond.
