Passenger Trains > EMD (Metrolink) F125 Idle sound

If anybody is like me, when a new locomotive comes out, first thing i want to know is what does it sound like? Well luck was in my favor tonight after checking out the 905 during the day and coming back in the evening, the 905 had been started and was idling on track 15 at Union Station. My phone captures great audio so i stuck it up in the vent area on the carbody

Ignore the video as i was only aiming for audio here. Or pay attention to the crappy video and see some of the interior of the carbody.

Great sound. And the "video" looks like a mouse (or other rodent) is looking in for an nice warm plave to sleep. Ah.

Makes more of a racket than an EMD, which by comparison really does "purr."

Yep, definitely some clatter there. Higher idle speed too as the CAT engines normally have.

It's classified as a high-speed diesel iirc, so it should make quite a bit of racket up close when in run 8.
