Who wouldn't want to ride that version of the train now with 10/6 sleepers (all rooms with toilets), a heritage diner with real food cooked on board and a dome to boot.

And sit in the dome and watch the CPL's change color as you rolled along.....seems like a long time ago.........

Was this during the period of time when the Captiol and Broadway would split at Pittsburgh, or were they two seperate trains. With that much head-end traffic, I wouldn't be surprised if they were two seperate trains. Definitely a nice consist all in all - diner, dome. coach, sleeper, baggage, lounge!

On October 26, 1986, Amtrak began operating the Broadway and Capitol Limiteds as two separate trains out of Chicago.  Thus, the video made in 1993, shows the Capitol Limited operating as a separate train.
