Attached picture is of the fire about 1/2 hour after it broke out as I was driving on US 2 out of town. The southern boundary of the fire is roughly parallel to the tracks but it appears as if the winds are pushing it more NE.

with STATE OF GOOD REPAIR issues. Total approx. 5 hr 20 min. The S-SEPLPC1-29 had locomotive problems at Scenic mp 1710 The S-SEPLPC1-29 went into emergency at East Berne mp 1698.5 For reference, Leavenworth is 1672.2. Edited 1 time(s). At least #8 was probably sitting in some nice mountain scenery somewhere West of the tunnel

So, what happens if a crew goes dead on hours as they are going through the Cascade Tunnel with it's MPH restriction and time it takes to go through (1/2 hour?)?
