Passenger Trains > Adirondack Rock Cut RailfanningDate: 09/18/16 06:38 Adirondack Rock Cut Railfanning Author: ut-1 I trekked to the Adirondack Mountains yesterday to catch Adirondack Scenic's trains south of Big Moose, NY. Here are some photos of the Thendara-Big Moose run (24 miles round-trip) and the later Utica-Big Moose run (128 miles round-trip) as the trains roll through some rock cuts. This is former New York Central territory, Adirondack Division.

Man -- those rock cuts are really, really close to the train! And -- they run long-hood forward! Neat! Thanks for this nice set of photos of a place I have never been to. |
