Grand Canyon #29
Author: survivor

This morning the Grand Canyon Railway ran engine #29 for the annual Man Vs. Machine  train/ bicycle race. With a 7:00AM departure, I was hoping
for enough good sunlight for a northbound shot of it leaving Williams, AZ .  I haven't seen #29 run in many years. Last time I saw her, she was on display
at the old Santa Fe depot at the Grand Canyon Village.

Here she is on display at Grand Canyon Village in June of last year.

Nice shots!  Powered by waste vegetable oil!  L S & I engines are amazing survivors!

Love that first shot.  Steam + heavy weight coach....what's not to love about it.

Great shots. Drove over this line in  say, 1973. It was  about  2  weeks fron scrapping.  Saved  by  Arizona, I  believe.
