Surprised you weren't shooting the R&N "Wine Train". I guess we all have our priorities! ; ) As for the heritage of R&N's RDC's: R&N 9166 - Ex-RDG 9166, originally B&M 6305 (Budd RDC3m mail - coach). R&N 9168 - Ex-RDG/PennDOT 9168, former Maryland DOT, earlier, Penn Central 99 originally NYC M-499. (Budd RDC3m coach rebuilt from mail - baggage - coach). Not to be confused with NYC M-497, the RDC that had jet engines attached for a record setting run before being returned to service. /Mitch Posted from Android Date: 09/29/16 06:24 Re: Sunday's RDC Trip on the Reading & Northern Author: MSchwiebert Do they have the as built Detroit Diesel engines, or have they been re-engined somwhere along the way?
