It's been so long since I used my pass I had to look at it carefully.  It says   "SF 479 1  01" so that must be Santa Fe.
The pass is really rather useless since I can't make reservations until 24 hours before the trip, and on other railroads it is half
fare - but that's half of the regular full fare.  Amtrak also will not honor it for part payment of the charges for hauling my private
car.  How petty they are!!

Amtrak pass is mostly worthless.  No reservation before 24 hrs to departure
plus they charge me 1/2 of the highest fare. I can do better with senior fare.
Plus many agents are not familiar with selling pass fares.

Depends what day you want to travel how much you pay or don't. And coach can be reserved more than 24 hours in advance.

No reservations more than 24 hrs in advance unless you are an Amtrak employee or retiree. At least, that's the way it has been for a long time.
