#4 a perfect week!

The SW Chief arrived in Chicago early 5 days in a row this week!
I don't think that has happened in many years!

Good to hear.
With the general reduction in freight traffic, has the on time % increased for other routes too?

Of course you have @ 1/4 of the route that has no freight traffic at all.

But some of the route is a very busy railroad.

Are the track work projects in Kansas and Colorado now complete?

They seemed to regularly cause delays owner the past several years.

Signaling system, track speed restrictions, heavy rains - this has REGULARLY crippled #3 or #4. I was shocked to see BNSF crews working on the signaling system on the route that BNSF doesn't really run trains on any more. But they had a whole crew out there!!!!

I understand there is more work scheduled next year in western Kansas to install CWR between Dodge City and
Pierceville, KS, about 40 miles and then there will be all CWR in Kansas. I don't know of any work scheduled in Colorado
so it will still be 60mph max from the KS state line to Las Animas Jct.

I have read of ballast trains on the Glorieta Sub but not seen any particulars.  I also heard that there are slow orders
west of Lamy down to the junction with the NMRX line to Santa Fe that are costing about 20 minutes on a daily basis with no plans
to do anything about it in the near future  ( this is state-owned track that is only used by 3 & 4 ).  There are also a number of sidings
out of service in northern New Mexico, which were previously listed on T-O.
