Coast Starlight #11 On Train Tracker
Author: TrainRyder

I have noticed that once #11 gets in the area of SAC on Monday, 16 Jan. & Tuesday, 17 Jan., the train seems to go into "stealth mode" and cannot be seen on train tracker.  Does anyone know the reason?

#14 is seen from the time it leaves LAUPT all the way to SEA!  They use the exact same rails, only direction of travel is different (LOL), so that should not be the reason.

All of the stops after Santa Barbara are detrain stops only, so the train can leave at any time before is "scheduled" time. That might be it...or somethimes the GPS breaker in our locomotives has a fault and trips so we don't imediatly notice until we look, or when the conductor radios to flip the breaker back on for the electronic delay reporting application since that as well as the status maps are based off our GPS transponder on the roof.
