A very nice picture of train and skyline.  It appears that this picture was taken in the early morning not long after sunrise. Is the train heading out of Denver to the mountains, or backing into Denver Union Station?

bet it was on arrival look at the posting time, camera phone maybe

left on time , if they swapped power it didn't hold them up

Confirmed 42/156 remained with train 5. With all the rain in the west, they need a bath anyway.

Photo was of the train arriving to Denver, which is why I asked if there was a subsequent power swap with ski train equipment.

This was an arrival shot. The photo was on Trainorders before the train was scheduled to leave.

A great photo at a classic location. I remember seeing photos of this location from the 1960's and 1980's in the Edmonson/Goodhart Zephyr book and also on the cover of a 1980's Pacific Rail News. It's great to see a current photo. Doesn't look like it can be an easy shot as it appears to be taken from an overpass on I-25. Thanks for posting.
