It will be interesting to see if Amtrak redesignated the control points with mileage-based numbers, as they did on Oct. 26 east of Gord.  Presumably the Michigan Sub. train director controls the railroad.

Amtrak Line (in MI), which runs between Porter, IN and the beginning of Conrail Share Assets at Town Line (just west of Detroit, MI)

We can also expect T&E crews to by pass changing at Battle Creek. They have done a great job of advancing the trains and can now reap the rewards by working twice the mileage and having those based at Battle Creek relocate or be laid off. Great job by all! Passenger should expect the excessive dwell time to go away at Battle Creek, too!

Colloquially, "Amtrak Michigan Line" but the official name is the Central Division,
Michigan Subdivision.

It would appear from Gene's posting that Amtrak is continuing to rename the interlockings with milepost related CPs.
