AND that, folks, is why running passenger trains in very bad weather doesn't make as much sense as it did "Back In The Day"

If your passengers can't get to the stations, they aren't going to ride the trains.  Why spend huge amounts of money to run empty trains.

So many places close up or tell their employees to work from home anymore during bad weather. It's been twelve years ago but I ran the first bus from a whole area in the west part of Cincinnati during a code three snowstorm. Usually there would have been several local buses and two express buses full of people but I picked up only a handul of people which made it no easier to have to back down a hill that the bus could not make.
