MEXICO CITY (AP) – Mexican mining and rail conglomerate Grupo Mexico says it has reached an agreement to buy Brightline parent Florida East Coast Railway Holdings Corporation for $2.1 billion from Fortress Investment Group.

It's not clear to me whether this deal includes Brightline or if Brightline will still be owned by Fortress.

I ask only because there's a number of "news" sites out there who don't give their sources. Makes it difficult to put any trust in them.

Brightline was never under the FEC anyway. It was under FEC Inustries, which became a seperate entity from FEC Railway under Fortress.
