This crossing has been problematic for a long time. Glad nobody was hurt, at least this time. Same crossing: https://youtu.be/8tRaa4wLMsI?t=5m39s Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 04/17/17 13:50 by OTG. Present day journalism probably do not use proof readers anymore, and the peron writing the article would be relying upon a computer spell checker. The initial article said it was an Amtrack train. Gotta get more railfans writing for the news. There is a tunnel that links the Dallas, Texas Amtrak station and the nearby Hyatt Regency and inside the tunnel there is a directional sign that says "Amtrack". Every time anyone posts any news report here, inevetably someone jumps on some irrelevant and generally trivial copy editing error as if it demonstrates that "journalism is dead" or some such. Copy editing errors happen. Give it a rest. Date: 04/18/17 09:19 Re: Amtrak hits farm workers truck in Oceano at 7:30 this morning Author: colehour mab Wrote:

Copy editing errors happen. Give it a rest. Agreed. Perhaps we all need to be reminded of a couple of the forum discussion rules: 1. Postings and discussion shall relate directly to railroading. 3. Posting critical comments of spelling, grammar, phrasing or other non-content errors made by other members is prohibited.
