Passenger Trains > Sunday bad day to travel NYP - NWK

Besides some single tracking, there was switch problems at Portal Bridge, leading to some outbound NJT Trenton trains to be 45 - 80 minutes late.

Amtrak 233 to Albany got stuck in the Empire Tunnel with no HEP for 90 minutes. NYC Fire Dept was on hand for any passengers who felt faint when they got back to the station.

Local CBS news needs a 4th grade geography lesson. They said the train was stuck under the Hudson River.

No. 43 lost time between NYP & NWK. It ended up 1:29 late at Pittsburgh.

Fourth grade? Pretty sure that, when I went to grade school in suburban New York, we learned where the Hudson River was a couple of grades lower than that, although we might not have been told where Albany was until later. ;)
