Passenger Trains > Amtrak Great Dome #10031 Ocean View in Carbondale, Illinois

I saw #393 Illini go through Manteno, Illinois a bit after 5:00, about on time, #127 on the point, Ocean View second car from the end. Sorry for the late report,I was on my way to do some shopping for Mrs.Jensen and just got home. #393 has arrived in Carbondale :06 late. The Great Dome should leave Cabondale tomorrow morning at 7:30 on #390 Saluki.

Bet you won't get to ride Ocean View, me thinks it's just there for Canadian National"s silly axle requirement.

Would it kill Amtrak to put #10031 at the front of the train and let passengers ride in it?

The dome car was dragged off Stub 4 in Chicago, which is effectively a RIP track, with cars
unsuitable for passenger service due to various problems...but some of them can safely turn a wheel.

Someone needs to report this to pres Voorman
