Day 2 of Proamtrak's Cross Country Trip!
Author: ProAmtrak

Well was great until no. 4 was delayed by 2 freights and I wish I knew the location, anyone familiar with the Marcline Sub where you got crossovers at a location that's a good ways apart from each other like East Flagstaff and Bellmont, anyway that costed the train a good amount of time and didn't get into Chi Town until just after 5 and they pulled him straight onto Track 30 to speed things up, met a hs friend and now on No. 30 and all I can say is Chicago really really needs to make sure the train is 100% ready to go, not only mechanical wise, but neatness wise, it seemed the car I'm on didn't get touched and the bathroom looks like crap! I really wish Moorman luck on changing that culture since everyone pretty much knows how bad the crews at 14TH ST. are!

May the ballast rise up to meet you.
May the Am-hopper stench be always at your back.
May the clean Am-window shine warm upon your face;
the A/C evaporator condensate fall soft upon your luggage
and until we meet again,
may Wick hold you in the palm of His hand.

To Railcity;
Some of us aren't rich and don't win big bucks in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. So we ride in coach and enjoy the "adventure". Granted its not always pleasant(I once had my cellphone srolen). However I've met some interesting people that I never would have while cooped up in a small room.

It's not always Paradise in a sleeper, either.

I'm sure railcity will be glad to fund everyone's future sleeper trips.

I like your former CB&Q angle on it, but 14th St. is not an Amtrak facility. The former CB&Q coach yard at 14th St. in Chicago is a METRA facility, and handles Metra trains only. BSB

Plus I don't stereotype coach passengers and vise versa like you do Railcity, you really need to quit thinking you're this VIP person, you're not!

Why, it probably had the same 'cleanliness' on that train than No. 30!
