Passenger Trains > two new guysDate: 06/10/17 17:23 two new guys Author: tc this morning I caught metrolinks test unit on the pasadena sub and this afternoon amtrak 14 had to set out this set because of the hot box detector stating something was hot. I didn't notice until I was home that the metrolink unit has two differnt mirrors, was that an oooppps?

From the "What's seen can never be unseen" department... The Rotem Cab Cars have the same setup, ergo I doubt it's an oops. Looks like the engineer's side is a manual mirror while the fireman's side is a power mirror. Photos 1&2 are yours, from the threads linked below. The last photo was cribbed from the internet (Sorry, I don't have any Metrolink photos of my own) https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?4,2758849 https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?4,2450516 Date: 06/12/17 17:42 Re: two new guys Author: chakk OTG Wrote:

The engineer can then adjust the mirror on the fireman side without leaving his/her seat.
