Passenger Trains > Why 2 NPCUs on Train 334 Today?Date: 06/20/17 18:07 Why 2 NPCUs on Train 334 Today? Author: kevink While on my lunchtime walk, I saw Amtrak train 334 arriving at Chicago with NPCU #406 leading NPCU #90221. Train was pushed by the usual P42DC.

I've seen them put powered locomotives in front of the NPCU if there was a last minute problem. Author: kevink Whatever was ailing 90221 must have been minor as it was by itself on the inbound end of Hiawatha 340 that just arrived this evening at CUS
