To Belen And Back
Author: walstib

Myself and two of Trainorders' most distinguished intellectuals rode the New Mexico Rail Runner from Santa Fe to Belen and back today.

We were in Belen long enough to tour the Harvey House museum, see photo 1. Its worth the trip if you haven't visited.

In the second photo, our Rail Runner runs up the 25 freeway median south of Santa Fe.

And in the third shot, the last southbound train of the day from Santa Fe dwells before departure.

NMRX should coordinate its schedules with Amtrak for better connections for travelers to/from Santa Fe.

How does that work when #3 and 4 are more often than not chronically late these days?

Thanks - on the list of trains to ride.
Rode the Santa Fe-Albuquerque segment years ago; interesting old structures by the yard.
