Woman killed after being struck by Amtrak train in University City area

If someone told me this story out of the blue, there is no way I would believe it. How this woman lived to be 63 years old is a feat unto itself. You can't fix stupid.

Sad story, but as an octogenarian ex-cop and journalist I've seen plenty of people of all ages do equally stupid things...
There are plenty of young fools around.

I once asked a firefighter/paramedic friend if my perception that the majority of his work consisted of rescuing people from their own stupidity. Re responded that my observation applied only to about the 90th percentile.

Sarah, I hope your loved ones receive apologies and remuneration from the railroad responsible for failing to make you aware of the hazards of railroad track grade crossings, crossing gates, signaling and the destructive kinetic energy of fast moving railroad trains.

Young fools as well.
16 year old killed in Dayton Ohio area this weekend laid down between rails to let train pass overhead. Didn't end well.
