Passenger Trains > Retirement party on private cars

Had an enjoyable day riding with a friend of ours for his retirement excursion on private cars, Silver Splendor (dome) ex CB&Q and ex ATSF Acoma, lounge car on rear of Pacific Surf Liner between Los Angeles and San Luis Obispo. A good time was had by all except for a delay on the outbound trip due to pedestrian strike by train ahead. No time for layover in SLO but just did a turn and burn. Got back to L.A. On time. Saw a great sunset over the Pacific during dinner in the dome.

It was a great time by all of us on the trip. I had a lot of fun and the food was fantastic.
