Passenger Trains > SEPTA Regional Rail Grade Crossing AccidentDate: 12/15/17 05:32 SEPTA Regional Rail Grade Crossing Accident Author: Chooch Two days ago their was a grade crossing accident with a SEPTA RR train and automobile at the Rices Mil Rd. crossing in Jenkintown, PA. I didn't notice any posting on TO, did I miss a notice on this site?

There don't seem to be many people here who are interested in (let alone well-versed with) SEPTA, which is unfortunate. Years and years ago flashers were the only protection. I'd like to think there are gates in this day and age.
Date: 12/15/17 10:17 Re: SEPTA Regional Rail Grade Crossing Accident Author: septacarczar It was train 4213 from Warminster...the car was unoccupied, after the elderly gentleman, got out of the car safely...he had gotten confused and thought he was turning down a street and ended up on the tracks...most passengers walked to Jenkintown station to continue their trip downtown...
