looks like 8 weekday round trips and 6 weekend. As far as I know three CDOT locomotives are at Mt Vernon, IL for rebuilding.
Have heard nothing on the status of tests of Metro-North M8s on Amtrak's Shore Line - the plan was to use M8s in Shore Line East service so that the SLE cars can be used by CTrail.

They don't have enough M-8's to cover Metro North service. 24 M-2's are still on the active roster. So I don't see how M-8's can take over SLE.
I also wish they'd move the Windsor Locks station. It is a 20' platform in the middle of nowhere and the road is not walkable to get into town.
Once in town, one could walk to hotels and the trolley museum.
