The fog was already starting to move onshore when Surfliner 763, with the CDTX 2052 on the south end, came calling at Carpinteria about 12:10 p.m. today.

The San Luis Obispo-bound train was nearly an hour late due to heavy passenger loads because of the 101 closure from last week's mudslides.
