Passenger Trains > Last Pacific Parlour Car Trip for me

I just pulled the plug and booked a Roomette on the 1440 car on today's Jan 31 train 14 Coast Starlight from Salinas to Portland. Return on the last southbound trip on Sunday Feb 4 train 11. I will be wearing my LIRR t shirt. Are passengers allowed in the small lounge in the 1440 car? There are still a few rooms left, get them while you still can.

I am flying with a friend to San Jose on Feb 5th to ride #11(2/4) back to Los Angeles. We will be in Roomette #2 but I forgot to ask the agent what car we will be in. I'll look for you on the train!

I think I have heard that the small lounge is for crew only but not sure.
