1. The recently repainted private car 553 on train 349 at Clybourn, where the UP-N and UP-NW lines diverge. 2. While the snow was around, train 349 flies through Rogers Park (two stops North.) I have some slides from back in the 70’s of a couple of those Clubcars — was cool back then, but not as pristine as this one.
BTW, was that you being photographed in a prior post unpacking some flash units? It looks like you used some flash in these pics and made me think of that other shot. Keep ‘em coming ! I sometimes use similar flashes for work but have never used them for railroad photography. For how much I tend to catch stuff at night I tend to rely on low aperture and high ISO. Some of these shots are quite as good as I wanted them because I didn't quite get the settings right.
