Passenger Trains > Train 171 @ Roanoke questionDate: 02/22/18 13:09 Train 171 @ Roanoke question Author: richs When 171 pulls into it's final stop at Roanoke does it do a back up move as the early morning departing train does? If it does not, where does it get turned so as to back up to the platform in the morning? Thanks.

After 171, 145 or 147 pulls in and unloads at night the empty train shoves east of the wye (number 3 on the map), then pulls south (number 1 on the map), with the engine leading, to the overnight servicing facility.
In the morning there is a direct shove north and west to the loading platform. Date: 02/22/18 15:52 Re: Train 171 @ Roanoke question Author: RFandPFan Jimbo Wrote:

Ditto on the thanks! Rich S Date: 02/23/18 20:03 Re: Train 171 @ Roanoke question Author: Jimbo You are most welcome. Glad to describe the movement, and having the map as a reference made it a lot easier.
