Passenger Trains > Misty

With a bit of mist in the air, Amtrak 11 rolls south through Seacliff about 20 minutes off the advertised on Tuesday night.

Fabulous shot - thank you. And now, after being a pretty quiet noob on here for a year or two, my question:

Based on that photo, how do I pick out the sleepers, the diner, and the coaches from that consist? I can pick out the baggage car and the observation lounge, but that's about it.

On most trains, sleepers are adjacent to the diner, coaches adjacent to the lounge. On the Starlight the business class coach is between the diner and lounge. The diner is identified by the blanked windows in the center of the car. So on the train pictured, it’s bag car, dorm, 3x sleepers, diner, biz coach, lounge, 3x coaches.
