AS expected it was a heated debate with 4 proposed routes. The city of Lawndale is apposed to it 100%

2026 for now is ground breaking. But powers to be may fast forward the time line to meet the LA Olympic opening ceremony's time line.

The MTA has 4 options with the number three being the most popular option which runs it down Hawthorne Blvd. from the San Diego freeway then turn left down the old SF right of way to Torrance.

In the meeting the MTA stated this was the 3rd most expensive option. But it may become the most expensive option be cause of grade separation at Redondo Beach Bl. and Artesia Blvd. which may make it elevated the entire length. My option 5. total cost for 4 + mile $1.2 Billion.
At grade using existing route $850 million.
