Passenger Trains > Query for Southern Passenger car expertsDate: 04/20/18 15:35 Query for Southern Passenger car experts Author: 4489 All;
VIA Rail Canada has a few ex-Southern RR stainless steel Built by Budd coaches. I have noticed that inside the vestibules there are round openings that do not contain anything. These are on the side of the vestibule that would be considered towards the interior of the cars. Would anyone know what these were for? Perhaps before rebuilding while in the employ of The Southern there was a reason. I have not seen these "portholes" on any other Budd cars. Hopefully this makes sense. Thanks in advance. but it is on the inboard vestibule wall. Date: 04/20/18 18:54 Re: Query for Southern Passenger car experts Author: 4489 Thank you SR2. Appreciate you taking the time to research this for me!
