T̶r̶e̶s̶p̶a̶s̶s̶e̶r̶ (edit) Employee strike involving (probably) Amtrak 86(24)

(ADDENDUM) So Amtrak's safety culture comes into question once again.

Something happened north of Union Station last Monday PM rush hour that shut down the NEC for a couple of hours. I never followed up to find out exactly what happened.

That is optimistic if meant to imply "normal"
service. This just came in from MARC:

"Service is slowly resuming and is extremely reduced on the Penn Line
due to the Police activity at Bowie and all trains will be single tracking
from Bowie to Odenton. Marc 416 is currently holding north of Seabrook.
This train will also board on the opposite track at Bowie and Odenton
Stations. Marc 520 has departed Union on time but will experience a delay."

On the Amtrak Location Map, there is NO green (close to on time) or
YELLOW past the incident; a lot of RED and one BLACK (an Acela). Several Amtrak
trains are at zero mph.

It was a trespasser strike on last week Monday too.

Except that apparently it was an employee, not a trespasser.

Not a trespasser. Employee.

Safe2Safer strikes again...sad.
Joe Boardman's legacy for all employees.

Reports on social media that it was a young employee, less than a year. Postdates Boardman. Postdates the communications fiasco at Chester, PA.
