That is not true - Amtrak has proposed some restrictions on occupying the rear platform, but they were seeking comments from AAPRCO and RPCA. Needless to say, my protests have been sent - since no one has been injured in years on an open plastform, why change anything? The rules have not been implemented by Amtrak. I sure wish Amtrak had the courage to tell us what they really are up to!
