Auto-Train 52 running a little late on Wednesday

Passed through Ashland Virginia around 9.15, with two units, 15 superliners, and 23 auto carriers.

Running about two hours late, I noticed the locomotives are out of their usual back to back sequence. Both are pointing north, which suggests there may have been a problem en-route.

If anyone is interested in seeing this, it should be available on the Virtual Railfan Ashland camera until about 1.15

left Lorton 2 hours late account late arrival of 53.

Today's 53 left a few minutes early, so the train should be on the Ashland camera after 5.15 or so.

Good job for the Lorton crews turning and servicing the train.
