I wonder if Brightline believes the publicity will help them get W. Palm - Orlando done?

There was a story out earlier this week that a deal had been struck for the right-of-way into Orlando International Airport for the final terminal there, and they expected to begin construction later this year on that segment. So, the answer seems to be the West Palm Beach to Orlando segment seems to be under control and soon under construction. There probably is more than a coincidence between that final hurdle being jumped over and now the next segment process beginning to continue to Tampa.

Looks like Brightline is moving ahead for Tampa.

Yes. This may be a pre-emptive strike to stake their claim on the right of way, etc.

They have been working in the background with Florida DOT for quite a while to preserve an ROW for rail along the I-4 corridor through the massive reconstruction of I-4 that is taking place around Orlando.
