Catenary damaged at Baltimore Penn Station
Author: GenePoon

Amtrak has notified MARC Train that there is damage to the catenary (overhead power) wires at Baltimore Penn Station.  As a result, Penn Line Train 407 (5:50am departure from Penn Station) is cancelled Monday morning and Train 421 (8:10am departure from Penn Station) will operate with two fewer railcars than usual -- in order to operate this train and not cancel it, we will use a smaller trainset turning off the Brunswick Line.

Amtrak maintenance crews are on the scene as of 11:30pm Sunday night, but the time needed to complete repairs is not certain.   There will likely be delays to all morning Penn Line trains if the repairs are not completed before morning service begins.
